I'm the creator and regular contributor to Muscle-Build.com and I'm here to serve you! My objective with this web site is to provide you with the self-service and self-help information you need to build muscle, lose fat, and get bigger, stronger, and faster.

UPDATE: I am slightly changing focus on this site. Rather than focus solely on the physical aspect (i.e., building muscle), I want to concentrate on the total YOU.

By that, I mean your mind, body, and spirit. These three components are intertwined and one without the other means you're going to have a really hard time becoming the best YOU possible.

You need to be smart, strong, and grounded. Adaptable. Able to not only thrive when you're at your best but survive and kick ass when times are tough.

To be able to get out of jams. And make sure you don't get in them in the first place.

In short, I'm here to make you better.

Are you with me?

This means that while the main thrust of the site will always be building muscle and making you a better athlete, we will spend time going over the mental and emotional aspects–not just of bodybuilding–of life.

I personally started training with weights when I was 12. I remember going to K-Mart and picking up the boxes (cardboard boxes that were already broken from the plastic and concrete weight plates inside!) and the the barbell (a hollow piece of aluminum with a cheap set of sleeves) as if it were yesterday. I think it was 110 pounds, and I could surely never aspire to lift that much weight!

I kept at it religiously for nearly 40 years. I got strong and I got pretty big. I was always fairly lean (body fat sub- 6% most of the time) and I had a hard time gaining weight until my very late 20s. In my early 30s I stumbled onto some strategies that I hadn't really ever tried before. We'll talk more about that in the pages of this site.

Suffice it to say that I've read many books, tried hundreds of weight training routines, and have experimented with many nutritional supplements. I have a breadth and depth of knowledge that a lot of practitioners of the sport don't have.

Now that I'm heading into the second half of my life, I want to help you fully develop yourself–not just your body.

I've always been interested in the mind-body connection, visualization, getting smarter, and being more productive.

Now, I'll share what I've learned with you, right here.

I hope you'll keep coming back to this site, as there is so much information out there: Some good, some not so good, and some downright dangerous.
