Skip the Work-out When You Suffer From a Cold? Think Again

Often times, many of us make the excuse to skip exercise when we have a cold because “we want to rest.” But researchers have found that there is zero correlation between cold longevity and exercise; further, they have found that having a cold doesn't even affect athletic performance! How's that for sobering news? No more excuses (present company included)!

“We tell them that’s O.K. if it’s for a short period of time,” Dr. Kaminsky said. “But what you have to be cautious of, where I see it as more of an issue, is with people who are trying to build that exercise habit. They’ve got all these barriers anyway.” AND too often taking time off because of a cold is the start of falling away from the program entirely.
